About Us

What is Quinte and The County?

Quinte and The County is an online presence to celebrate and bridge our communities. We currently run three social network channels and this groovy web-site. We source images and stories, through various social media channels, from the people in our community. Our goal is to have the site content 100% produced by citizens and local business owners, allowing the people in our communities to shape the content of this site.

Quinte and The County is operated and maintained by husband and wife team, Gregg Bowden and Melissa Story.

Of course, there are already many fine tourism sites that celebrate the Bay of Quinte and Prince Edward County regions.

What makes ours different?

We are ad-free. We do not run ads on our network. You will not see any pop ups, side bar or embedded advertising on our site. We also are not paid by members to promote their businesses or services. We receive no monetary incentive for showcasing the people and places on our site or on our social network channels. Our goal is to have the site content 100% produced by citizens and local business owners, allowing the people in our communities to shape the content of this site.

How do you make money?

We don’t.

Why are you doing this?

Because we love the area we call home. Because we want to learn more about the communities of Quinte and The County. Mostly, because we can.

How do you intend to keep the site running?

We’ll figure it out. Pocket change. Spare time. And the generosity of friends, family, and strangers (we don’t advertise, but we will be accepting donations in the future to assist with the maintenance, upkeep, and overhead of running this site). Like what we’re doing? Buy us a coffee (we drink lots of coffee… that’s how we get our superpowers).

How can I help (besides buying you wonderful people coffee)?
